Tales of Rescued Timber:A Celebration of Salvage
Welcome to our virtual sanctuary, where we honor the echoes of the past through some of our most remarkable salvage adventures. Each salvage is a treasure hunt, unveiling the hidden beauty within weathered beams, time-worn planks, and reclaimed wonders. While others may see a heap of discarded wood, we envision stunning furniture and endless creative possibilities. Join us as we share the stories behind our salvaged treasures and celebrate the artistry of transformation.
The Kunene
It all started with The Kunene—an abandoned shipwreck left on a grain farm in Swellendam. From this weathered hull, we reclaimed its wood and, in doing so, ignited a passion for preservation and craftsmanship.
The Largo
The Bogenfels
The Bogenfels, once a hardworking vessel turned pleasure cruiser, met its end in the PE harbor. We reclaimed its wood and carefully transformed it into stunning, handcrafted furniture—preserving its legacy through every piece.
The Oceana Mercury
When we discovered the Oceana Mercury, only remnants of its former glory remained—a haunting skeleton of weathered wood and rusted steel. But within those remnants, we saw potential, a chance to preserve its story by crafting it into timeless, rustic furniture.
The Oceana Aquarius
In Saldanha, we uncovered a remarkably old boat with a hull crafted from exquisite Oregon Pine. Its rich grain and warm tones hinted at decades of stories, inspiring us to transform it into beautiful furniture with a timeless character.
The Deus Te Ajude
We found this beauty no longer seaworthy, but absolutely furniture-worthy! Its seasoned wood, full of character, was ready to embark on a new journey—as timeless, handcrafted pieces with a story to tell.
The Karasberg
The wreckage of the Karasberg, once discarded in a landfill, was rescued and reimagined. We gave it new life, transforming its salvaged wood into beautiful, unique furniture that carries the character and history of its seafaring past.
